Our mission is to provide food and hygiene products for clients to use in their homes

Founded in 1988, the First Baptist Church Community Food Pantry is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving individuals and families in the Greater Derry area. With the support of community sponsors, schools, and donors, we have provided food for thousands of individuals in need of assistance.

Who We Are

At the Food Pantry, we believe that no one should have to go hungry. Whether you’re homeless, underemployed, a parent with children, veteran, senior citizen, or just going through a challenging time in life, we do not turn anyone away.

Neighbor Helping Neighbor

The Food Pantry is run almost completely by our director, Margaret Isbell, a small group of volunteers and a very generous community.

Thanks to the generous support of the First Baptist Church, we have been able to operate rent-free since 1988. This means all monetary contributions to the food pantry go to purchasing food, operation of the pantry, and sustaining its mission.
